Girlfriends History
A staff of three editors, two artists, and four salespeople (plus a small army of freelance writers and photographers) works together to put out each issue. The magazine’s offices are located in San Francisco; its parent company, H.A.F. Publishing, also publishes On Our Backs, the official guides for the San Francisco Pride Parade and Celebration (Inside Pride), the Folsom Street Fair, and the Castro Street Fair. H.A.F. Publishing is owned primarily by its founder and editor in chief Heather Findlay, and her mother and publisher Erin Findlay. The magazine is printed in Canada.
